The new Real Events wizard can automatically dramatically reduces the effort to create an Event and a Campaign at the same time. It then defines the Campaign Member Status Values automatically for each Campaign created.
To date this has been a limitation of Salesforce as noted in thisIdeaExchange post.
The wizard then automatically present the Campaign Member select view for the user.
Adding the members then can be done with the custom Campaign Member Status Values.
In the example below, when a member is added as registered 3 things happen.
- Registration confirmation email is sent out.
- A Registration is then created and tied to the Campaign.
- A Badge is automatically created.
Once the email is received, the registrant can confirm their registration and this will update their Registration Status which can also send out timed drip emails.
